There is currently a massive push towards buying electric cars and ditching your petrol or diesel-powered car. This is due to the alarming rate at which carbon dioxide is affecting the planet and the diesel ban which comes into play in 2040 in the UK. The diesel ban has been introduced to stop the production of new cars that are fuelled by petrol or diesel. This encourages drivers to adopt an all-electric lifestyle.

There are still many concerns around electric cars and UK drivers have been slow to join the electric revolution so far. However, there are so many benefits of switching to electric, including both environmental and health benefits. As mentioned, diesel engines in particular release harmful gases that accelerate the rate of global warming. They also contribute to many health conditions such as strokes, heart attacks, respiratory diseases and many more. If you’re thinking of switching to electric but are unsure of the best cars on the market, UK Car Finance has compiled a list of the highest rated electric cars to buy in the UK!
