Mobilisation Project Manager

£25,500 FTE pro-rata, 3 days per week. Location:  Oxford

COIN is recruiting for a skilled Project Manager to manage and further develop COIN’s mobilisation work.  The work will involve promoting and further developing COIN’s Climate Action Groups, contributing to COIN’s work with Trade Union Action Groups and further development of COIN’s mobilisation work across all sectors.

The successful candidate will have proven skills and experience in mobilising groups and communities on climate change together with sound communication, networking and project management skills.

Flipping Point Developer/ Designer/ Project Manager

Payment:  Small fee is available (negotiable)
Location:  Oxford/ flexible

Flipping Point is envisaged to be an interactive website that helps put users in touch with and find out about the type of climate change action most suited to them. The idea is that new users will answer a series of simple questions that will lead them to the profile of someone like them who is already taking action on climate change.  The website will then guide them towards taking action on climate change in a way that is most suited to the particular individual. 

The Flipping Point project involves three roles.  We are open to accepting applications for any or a combination of these three tasks.  The roles are:
a.)    Developer:  Take forward the development of the site including putting in place all technical infrastructure.  Skills and some experience of developing websites.
b.)    Designer:  Design a clean and engaging visual identity. Graphic design skills required. 
c.)    Project Manager:  Take responsibility for overall management of the project including contacting people active in climate change to gather copy for the site, setting and following up on deadlines for all those involved etc.  Good organisational and communications skills required.

Internships/ volunteering  

Community Network Administrator

Hours: Up to 80 hours per month
Location: Oxford

The successful applicant will either be appointed as a volunteer or through the government's Future First programme.

The Low Carbon Communities Network is a national network aimed at linking and supporting the rapidly growing movement of local and community level climate change groups.   To take forward our work programme, we are seeking a person to provide professional administrative support, working with and providing coordination for the LCCN Management Committee Activities including subgroups on Development, Fundraising, and Policy and with gradually taking overall responsibility for the communications of the Network including web site updating and further development. 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of the Network at this important time. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated to tackle the range of challenges arising from climate change and a strong belief in the power of community to bring about fundamental change.  S/he will have some experience of web site maintenance, excellent communication skills with an ability to write engaging copy for a variety of audiences and strong interpersonal and networking skills.

This position will be based in Oxford at the offices of Climate Outreach and Information Network where the LCCN is currently being hosted.
